Australia's new Tax Residency Laws - How will it affect You?
Thursday, October 06, 2022
Following an announcement in the 2021/22 Federal Budget, major changes to Australian tax residence rules for individuals may take effect from as early as 1 July 2023.
- How will these changes affect you?
- What is the so-called ‘bright line’ test?
- How can high earners benefit from changes to the tax system?
- What is the minimum time you must hold for investments to qualify?

We are delighted to be collaborating with AusCham's corporate members, Majenda and Skybound Wealth Management, to present this seminar.
Using a number of real life case studies, the presenters, Geoff Taylor, Managing Director @Majenda; and Ryan Donaldson, Regional Manager & Senior Financial Planner @Skybound Wealth Management, will explain how the proposed changes may impact Australian expats and what strategies they can utilise to minimise their overall tax position.
The presentations will discuss financial planning strategies in a case study format, as well as tax optimised investment strategies for those expats who intend to remain in Switzerland for the long term and for those who intend to return to Australia to continue their careers or retire.
Registration is complimentary. Networking and drinks will follow the presentation. Please register HERE - we look forward to seeing you there!
