Australia and the Geopolitics of Hydrogen

Opportunities, Risks and Opportunities

The Australia France Business Association is pleased to invite you to a briefing on Australia and the Geopolitics of Hydrogen with Mikaa Mered, adjunct lecturer on hydrogen markets, diplomacy and geopolitics at
Sciences Po Paris.

Australia has become one of the most innovative and ambitious countries in the world in the hydrogen energy sector. Its natural advantages make it an ideal location to generate hydrogen using clean energy.

Australia could contribute directly to reducing the use of hydrocarbons in the world and become a sustainable leader in cleantech, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region.

Hear from Mikaa Mered as he shares insights on the geopolitics of hydrogen for Australia with a focus on opportunities, risks and challenges.

The briefing will be moderated by Jennifer Mackinlay, General Manager Europe and Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner Austrade.

Tuesday 30th May 2023

6:30pm CEST

Venue:
Australian Embassy
