The German Australian Business Council together with the Western Australian Government European Office and the Australian Future Battery Industry Cooperative Research Centre are pleased to present a webinar on Australia’s value proposition as a secure and sustainable partner for critical raw material supply for the European energy and e-mobility industries.

Join us to hear from leading Australian and European industry experts, Dr Jacques Eksteen (Future Battery Industries CRC) and Dr Jeffrey Wilson (Perth USAsia Centre) about the current status of the Western Australian battery industry and its aspirations for supplying to Europe’s burgeoning energy sector. Also joining us for this webinar will be Samantha McGahan, Business Development Manager, Australian Vanadium Limited/VSUN Energy and Benoit Lemaignan, Co-Founder and CEO, Verkor. Both Samantha and Benoit will provide valuable industry insights into the battery value chain using examples from AVL’s’s Gabanintha project, which has been awarded Major Project Status by the Australian Federal Government and Lead Agency Status by the Western Australian State Government, and Verkor’s first Gigafactory, supported by EIT InnoEnergy, Schneider Electric and GROUPE IDEC and scheduled to begin in 2023 with a capacity of 16GWh of battery cells and increase to 50GWh in line with market dynamics.”
