QUT Breakfast Frankfurt

QUT Breakfast “Living Better While Living Longer”

The last few decades have seen enormous advances in our ability to understand, diagnose and treat disease, through a better understanding of genetic risk factors, improved diagnostic technology and enhanced drug design. As a result, we are living longer – but are we living better?

The increased risk of chronic disease as people age is placing significant strain on health systems worldwide, and it is essential that we continue to develop innovative solutions in health care delivery aimed at reducing costs and increasing efficiency. At the same time, we need to ensure a multi-disciplinary, patient-centred approach to the prevention of disease, early detection and care.

Professor Ross Young, Executive Dean and Professor Remco Polman, Head of the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences, Faculty of Health at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Australia will explore these complex issues and highlight a range of successful initiatives and research that QUT Health has undertaken in this area.

Please note numbers are limited and the German Australian Business Council members will be given priority.
